Highlights

2010: Motivated employees in the team and new investments have it possible to meet the latest western European quality standards in production in Steyr (Upper Austria).
   
2006: Capacity upgrade for the final production process for muesli and crunchy muesli on Haagerstrasse
   
2005: Start-up of a logistics building in Messererstrasse Steyr - just 500 m away from the headquarters in Haagerstrasse.
   
2002: Repurchasing of a share of the business (25%). This was held from 1989 until the end of 2002 by Mautner Markhof AG.
   
2001: Management staff expanded. Ms Claudia Schrems M.A. managed the company in the future with Klaus Lösch.
   
1995:

With the Knusperli brand, as an Austrian business, we became market leaders for muesli and crunchy mueslis.

Demarcation of brands and segments:
the Bioquelle brand for organic food.
Knüsperli as an umbrella brand for the entire 'breakfast' segment.
Mix Max Fruits for dried fruits and snacks.
The Vitality brand for healthier foodstuffs.

 
 
1989: Mautner Markhof AG acquired 25% of Bioquelle GmbH. Nikolaus Lösch retired. His son Klaus Lösch became Managing Director.
 
 
1985: Bioquelle expanded its business channels. The company's products are listed in all Austrian food trade organisations. A variety of training events and courses for department heads in various supermarkets are organised for and by Bioquelle in Steyr.
 
 
1980: New construction of the company building on Haagerstrasse and set-up of production to fitness and organic cereal products.
 
 
1977: The first employees were recruited for the newly founded company Bioquelle. Ms Eva Rustler began her training as the first commercial trainee.
 
 
1975: Bioquelle GmbH. The former seed trader Weismayr was re-named Bioquelle by Nikolaus Lösch.
Sale of foodstuffs with nutritionally valuable products under the brandname Bioquelle was now to the fore.
 
 
1961: Nikolaus Lösch took over his uncle, Sepp Weismayr's small business. Together with his wife Samen he purchased garden items and fertilisers. The foundations for today's business were laid at that time. Nikolaus Lösch was already at that time importing stoneground flours from Switzerland and algae flour from Brittany, which were being used as fertlisers at the time. The first customers were the few organic farmers in Austria. As a result cereals and grains were then purchased from these farmers and later used as raw materials for flakes and mueslis by the new company Bioquelle GmbH.
 
 
1926:

     
 
It all started in this small specialist seed shop in Steyr. Sepp Weismayr founded the shop. This was the original company from which the Bioquelle company later originated
